I think a major flaw in your argument is why shouldn't the individual get to decide that for themself. And in particular, why should some people work 2 minimum wage jobs not being able to afford an apartment and food. In that case, you are effectively obligated to work in excess of what you need to survive so that others can maintain the kind of wealth that allows for mega-yachts and space rocket adventures.
