Moved to a city, parked the car and could do bike and transit everywhere. My car got ticket after ticket from street sweeping. Sold the car. Moved to different cities. Biked more. Took more transit. Saw how happy I was compared to when I owned a car. Saw how insane car drivers were acting. Did some long distance bike touring and learned how peaceful it is to ride your bike through the woods to a campground compared to driving there. Took trains across the US and realized I could read and write while traveling. Almost got hit hundreds of times by cars and trucks. Had coal rolled on me. Realized that the car is at the center of our individualistic dominance-structured society and a giant waste of time and money.
