I like this approach a lot, but the thing that's getting me is what happens if other animals died in the process. For milk and eggs, pretty much all the male animals are killed at a young age because they aren't economically profitable to keep alive. It's possible to do it without killing them but even small local "sustainable" farms won't do it because it'll bankrupt them. So that's where my conundrum lies.
