My preferred way to explain this is what happens at the moment you bring in someone else to work with/for you. (Because that's the main place where capitalism becomes exploitative.) The easiest way to keep all the advantages of coordinated effort without allowing the exploitation inherent in capitalism is to mandate that any enterprise needs to be democratically run by everyone employed by the business. That way at the moment that you begin to employ your neighbors, control can remain balance without coercion just because you have all the money. The only other thing that needs to be dealt with is private ownership of natural resources like forest and mines becoming inherently public goods.
