The global transport industry is an issue, but only because we are overusing it. Electric vehicles for transport can definitely exist sustainably at some load. And things like rubber tires (there is progress in making them recyclable just at a very high price point). I think homesteads will certainly continue to exist in a solarpunk world. My dream solarpunk project is a massive preserve of natural forest in north California with thousands of miles of bike track through it. And throughout there'd be little self sustaining food forests cared for by homesteaders and indigenous tribes where travelers could resupply.
