Another way to look at it is, would you give up $10 of unnecessary goods or services? I know some people really can't afford that, but not 68% of Americans. On average we consume almost 35 times as much raw resources as the average person living in India. It's honestly sad that we are so selfish we won't change something so small to help keep the planet livable for our children and for people who didn't cause the problems our lifestyle has caused.
