If it really was worth so much more to me then I'd agree with you: Yes that is exploitation, bit only of the workers who actually make it. And the degree to which I am exploiting them is in proportion to how much excess value I get out of it vs what I compensate them for it. And while I'm exploiting the worker's labor, I'm exploiting to a lesser degree than the corporation owner who takes, say, $10 out of every $25 shoe and sells 100k so they get $1mil vs my $100 of exploited work. Also it's hard to pinpoint the exact degree of exploitation without me reselling it or using it for profit. But if I were to resell it for $125 then yes I absolutely would be part of the chain of exploitation. > So why are you exploiting them? I am exploiting them to the smallest degree I can and I'm sorry that I am. I want things to change for the better even though I know that'll make my life a little harder. Importantly, I'm actively engaged in trying to make the world's economic system less capable of this kind of exploitation. That's actually why I'm talking to you, to make sure I understand my own points and yours and how they can be rectified to reduce the exploitation, inefficiency and suffering that's a part of capitalism.
